Academic curriculum

Foothills school will offer academic learning opportunities to meet the needs of the various students. The Foothills school curriculum provides them with a choice of either the National Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) or in future the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (International GCSE).

The school is designed and built to take up to 4 streams of 24 students per class, at full capacity. The students will from the very beginning be organised into groups of 6-8 boys, for group learning activities, as part of inculcating the culture of teamwork and collaboration.

Learning will be delivered through use of latest technologies in each of the 16 subject-based classrooms, a 48 station computer laboratory, modern library, and 3 science laboratories. Each of these facilities will house a subject or department and be customised as such.

The students will keep moving between classes to find their teachers, who will also have their departmental offices next to the class.
